This policy applies to all SpotBasket services, including our website (spotbasket.com) and mobile applications available on iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play).

1. Your Right to Data Deletion

Under applicable privacy laws, you have the right to request the deletion of your personal data. This is also known as the "right to be forgotten" or "right to erasure." When you request deletion, we will remove your personal information from our active systems, subject to certain exceptions required by law.

Upon a valid deletion request, we will delete:

Training data and performance metrics
Assessment results and progress records
User preferences and settings
Communication history
Any other personal data associated with your account

2. How to Request Data Deletion

3. Processing Your Request

Once we receive your deletion request:

Step 1: Verification

We will verify your identity to ensure the request is legitimate. We may ask for additional information to confirm you are the account holder.

Step 2: Confirmation

We will send you a confirmation email acknowledging receipt of your request within 3 business days.

Step 3: Deletion

Your data will be permanently deleted from our active systems within 30 days of verification. You will receive a final confirmation once deletion is complete.

Step 4: Backup Systems

Data in backup systems will be purged according to our regular backup rotation schedule, typically within 90 days.

4. Exceptions and Limitations

In certain circumstances, we may be required or permitted to retain some of your data:

Legal obligations: Transaction records and financial data may be retained for up to 7 years as required by tax and accounting regulations
Legal claims: Data necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims may be retained
Fraud prevention: Information needed to prevent fraud or enforce our terms of service may be kept

5. Consequences of Data Deletion

Please be aware that once your data is deleted:

Your SpotBasket account will be permanently closed
All training history, progress, and achievements will be lost
Any active subscriptions will be cancelled
You will no longer have access to purchased content or services
This action cannot be undone

6. Mobile App Users

If you use our mobile applications (iOS or Android), uninstalling the app alone does not delete your data from our servers. To ensure complete deletion of your personal data, please submit a data deletion request as described above.

After your data deletion request is processed, you should also uninstall the app from your device to remove any locally stored data.

7. Response Time

We are committed to processing all data deletion requests promptly:

Acknowledgment: Within 3 business days
Verification: Within 7 business days
Deletion from active systems: Within 30 days of verified request
Deletion from backups: Within 90 days

For complex requests or during high-volume periods, we may extend these timeframes by an additional 30 days with prior notification.
