A comprehensive, three-day program, for middle school students and high school student athletes, coaches, administrators, parents, and spectators. The program offers the participants academics, athletics, cultural enrichment, and service learning.
The Baltimore City Public Schools (BCPS) Basketball Academy is dedicated to enriching the lives of young people and increasing the opportunities of inner-city youth in and around the Baltimore Metropolitan area. Through the Academy, we aim to expand the opportunities of young people by providing academic programs that stimulate the mind and athletic programs that showcase and enhance the skill. It is our widespread goal to encourage young people through sports, education, mentoring, developmental programs, and by example. To date, more than 12,350 students have participated in the Academy, and over $146,000 worth of scholarships have been distributed to worthy young people in our area.
