Sylvester Murray is the founder and technical director of the Hall of Fame Basketball Academy. In the summer of 2015, he partnered with his childhood friend Shaun Cross to host the first Hall of Fame Basketball Academy Summer Camp. The camps grew into spring/summer travel teams and then merged into a full-year training academy. He then put all extra time into the academy.

Our main season runs September to May, with opportunities for spring/summer play. Benefit from structured practices, skills training, and recommended off-court development.

Coaching Experience

Coach Sly first used basketball to engage his first child, Malachi in 2009. He started the first basketball club in Bradford and made it the largest basketball organization in the region. Athletics Highlights

Now, the academy is a one-stop place for all elementary-aged (Grades 2-8) to be introduced and grow in the game of basketball. We have a dynamic recreational house league called the HBL (Hustle Basketball League) and we have produced some of the most elite teams in the province with our travel teams called the Hall of Fame Hustle.
